Be it government or private, the opening up of the banks in such remote places is also responsible for generating the bank jobs. This requires employers who can manage the financial dealings and transactions that go down in these places.
Since the education qualifications for banking jobs are not very stringent, students from any stream can get into the banks, after passing through the entrance exams and then the interviews. With a little period of training, they are equipped enough to operate as per the banks demand. The point here is then, about the people who could be potentially recruited for working in various capacities in the banks. To bring in qualified people as well as people who are interested in working in banks, the banks are trying to hire people from the local populaces.
This means that local people can get employed in banks that are in the vicinity of their homes. And for them, there cannot be a better opportunity and a better reason, than this to go after the bank jobs. The salaries are sufficient enough for a decent living and with a career, that is assured of growth, people join the banks nearby and lead a happy life. For most of the candidates aspiring to be recruited in banks, this has been a major reason for taking up banking careers and there is a higher satisfaction level among them.

Is there anywhere online that shows US gov't employee geographic pay differential amounts by locations?
My husband is job hunting and will most likely end up in a US government job. Many of the jobs talk about geographic pay differentials, but don't say how much in the job description. We'd like to know exact amounts so that we can compare cost of living and cost of homes in the areas, so that we make the best decision of where to concentrate our searches and where to accept offers.

The official government site is actually the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) at http://www.opm.gov/oca/payrates/ but it appears that the website has the snow day off along with the other DC government workers.

What job location works best for a chacter to discover a dead body? And not seem cliche'...?
I'm writing a horror story and I want my charcater to find a body in some sort of working envirnoment - what jobs do you think would be more likely to have an incident like that turn up - meaning what jobs could a person more likely find a body being stoed away at - like for example is more likely to find a dead body in a bank vault or in a freezer at a local resturarnt? Any ideas are accepted just looking to here different hopefully not too cliche' ideas of a job location to base my charcter's discovery. Thanks in advanced.
Locker room.....almost any place there - in shower, sprawled on a bench in front of lockers.... if you want to really scare people give a sense of horror to some place they do not normally think as horror struck. For most people a locker room is all that is solid, cool etc.
If your novel is a success, you will have people thinking twice every time they come in from the gym for shower and change.
