One of the toughest jobs in plumbing that requires maximum involvement of technology is plumbing system installation. It requires knowledge of building design, 3D modeling, drill techniques, and molding & cutting techniques for pipes. Prior to the installation job, plumbing contractors design the whole plumbing system. They prepare a model that can have the least impact on the physical structure of the building and can serve the needs of residents for the maximum possible duration. Moving from FL to WA state??!!?
okay so the boyfriend and I are looking to move away from Florida...to be honest the only place that I am even interested in is WA state. BUT.....I cant seem to find an area that doesn't have a cost of living as ridiculous at Seattle but with a good job market. I was looking into Aberdeen....the cost of living is the same if not cheaper as where I currently am (Jacksonville, FL) but I cant find any info on he job market there...Someone please help with info & ideas of other places in WA State. I'd prefer to stay by the coast!
The housing in Aberdeen is cheap because there aren't any jobs - it is very depressed economically. Seattle has very expensive housing, but the further away from the city you get the less expensive the housing is. Depending on what type of job you are looking for, you might try looking at some of the burbs and communities north and south of Seattle. There are malls to both the north (Lynnwood) and south (Tukwila) with retail businesses, restaurants, etc. If you have more high tech skills, look to the eastside of the city in Redmond (Microsoft, Nintendo). Housing costs in Redmond are high, but less expensive as you go toward North Bend, Fall City and Carnation.
The important thing is to get a job first and then do a circle outward from your job to find an affordable place to live. It's not that bad commuting into Seattle from most areas if you use public transportation light rail or buses that use the HOV carpool lane. - usually an hour or less each way for most of the burbs within 30 miles of the city. Driving yourself is slow since single drivers can't use the faster HOV lane and expensive with the parking prices.
The other option is to look east to the Spokane area. The cost of living is much less expensive there. However it is nothing like Seattle - the climate, culture and economy are very different.
