Food Incentives Can Perpetuate the Problem of Obesity

Food incentives can perpetuate the problem of obesity because teachers use it as a means to bride their students to do the right thing. Most of the time, teachers give their students candy instead of a healthy alternative like an apple. However, even healthy alternatives are not a very good idea because some of your students might have food allergies. Giving children candy will cause them to only behave when they are given sweets. Therefore, when they feel good about something they have done they will only want candy, cake, icecream, etc.. Consequently, when you give a child sweets as an award they will not develop healthy eating habits. Furthermore, this will just prolong the problem of childhood obesity. There are a number of ways you can maintain your classroom without having to revert back to food incentives. I also have a forum with other Incentive ideas: Incentive Ideas Here is a list of incentives:

4. Have lunch with the principal.

5. Join another class for indoor recess.

6. Have the teacher phone parents to tell them what a great kid you are.

7. Draw on the chalkboard.

8. Be first in line.

9. Do only half an assignment.

What Incentives offers do you know about for Nursing Jobs? and where?

I am just wondering what kinds of nursing incentives are out there to attract people to nursing jobs. Ie: in B.C all i know of is the B.C loan forgiveness program but I am looking for more site specific incentives, US or Canada.

The last I knew, and it's been a couple of years, the hospitals near me (upstate NY) offered a cash incentives (I think that it was two thousand) PLUS the student loan forgiveness.
You get a sign on bonus, plus an amount after six months, and the rest at the one year anniversary.
Also, if you are an employee that refers someone else, you get a sign on bonus, and another bonus after the person you referred has been there a year.
It is in a student's best interest to get student loans, and NOT pay their way through college....there isn't any other replacement bonus if you don't need the loan forgiveness.

Physical Therapists - Permanent and Travel Jobs

Job opportunities for physical therapists are flourishing and expected to grow much faster than those in other healthcare occupations in the United States. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor statistics show that the growth for physical therapy jobs is expected to increase by 27 percent through 2016. A wide range of healthcare facilities across the country offer both permanent and travel jobs for qualified personnel.

Permanent Jobs at Flexible Timings

Physical therapists can easily find permanent Job Positions in top healthcare facilities including health agencies, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, school systems and outpatient clinics. They get opportunity to work in flexible timings. Salaries for permanent jobs in the physical therapy field depend on experience and skills, as well as the chosen facility and the location.

Physical Therapists in Travel Jobs

Those who enjoy traveling can take up travel jobs in physical therapy. Travel physical therapists get great opportunities to visit different places as part of their jobs and interact with people from different locations. Usually, a travel physical therapy assignment lasts 13 weeks, after which the physical therapist can opt to renew it or choose a new location. Those in physical therapy travel jobs get a chance to earn extra money through sign-on, completion and referral bonuses. They are also eligible for relocation allowances, free housing, medical benefits, and incentives.

Jobs through Recruiting Agencies

National and international physical therapy professionals can find the job to suit their specifications by registering with reliable recruiting agencies. These agencies can help them secure employment in accordance with their skills and qualifications in top notch medical facilities. Apart from a high remuneration, the benefits they can enjoy include:

• Paid housing
• Completion bonuses
• Travel expenses
• Healthcare insurance
• Additional state license
• Continuing education programs
• Section 125 cafeteria plan
• Immigration processing (for internationally trained employees)
• Professional liability insurance
