Get Your Cruise Ship Job Application Moving Forward! Don't Be Discouraged!
Applying for your dream cruise ship job can be a very frustrating process - not only is the competition hot for each job, but the adverts for the positions can be quite off putting.
This is just a ruse by the cruise line company to ensure that only the best applicants apply for the job. They actually design their cruise ship job adverts to discourage people from applying. Sounds counter productive, doesn't it? But the logic is simple. If they receive hundreds of applications, they can guarantee that many of these will just be a waste of their time. So if they can prevent the weakest applications from arriving then they are going to make their jobs easier.
It is quite common to find an advert for a cruise ship job that may be for a position that you think would suit you. But after reading the details of the advert, you will discover that the company is looking for a university degree, no less than three years of experience in a similar role, fluency in at least two other languages, and even more demanding criteria.
Their aim is to discourage people and it has the desired effect. But the truth is you should not be put off by cruise ship job adverts like this. Quite often the cruise line companies use this as a technique to prevent too many people from applying for a position.
But if you think you have what it takes to get the job, then go for it! Send in a fantastic resume package and don't worry too much about all the skills they are asking for. Instead, highlight all the things you are good at and what would make you suitable for the job. Post it by snail mail so that it is delivered to them at their desks and then send a couple of follow up emails afterwards to back up your application.
They will be impressed by your determination, and in reality it is the people like you that they are looking for when it comes to filling their cruise ship Job Positions. It is near impossible to have all the skills listed in their advert, and if they were determined to fill their criteria, they would never hire anybody.
When they see your application they will know that you are one of the more serious jobseekers, and that you are prepared to make a special effort to get the cruise ship job that you're after. Do this and you're going to be in a great position, and remember that the worst that they could do is say "no".
The secret is to simply just do it when it comes to applying for a cruise ship job. Lots of people may share the dream, but the truth is many of them never get around to doing anything about it, and that is the biggest barrier in their way to getting a cruise ship job.
If you don't know where to start then just go on the internet and search for all the companies that you would like to work for. Write them all down, and then start looking at the individual positions on board the ships and work out which type of position would suit you best. There you go—you've made a start already!
Get going, get your application out there, and don't be put off by job adverts. If you've got what it takes to get a cruise ship job then just go for it and you'll have a greater chance of success.

What does it mean on your application if it ask for Special Qualifications Skills?
I am applying for a job in a Restaurant and I am not sure if they mean cooking ,washen dishes or cleaining and serving food.
They are not asking about special education, which is teaching those with cognitive and developmental disabilities. They just want to know if there is anything you are particularly good at, like you took a class in how to make crepes and you are skilled in that area. It might be you are handy with tools and have experience that qualifies you to do maintenance. That's it.
This is the Special Ed section, though, so unless you have a learning disability and are looking for help in overcoming it, you might want to post your question in a more appropriate place!

How to Get Online Transcription Work Without Specialized Training
Getting online transcription work could be challenging since a lot of applicants are competing for the same jobs from online companies.
Applicants should separate themselves from the others by developing their qualifications and building a reputation as an accurate, reliable transcription. Companies are looking for people who work at a fast pace and can provide high quality results. Finished transcripts should be accurate and delivered within the required time frame.
Aspiring transcriptionists should take advantage of different software, training sites, resource sites, productivity tools, networking sites, books and other resources available on the internet.
The companies offering online transcription jobs are looking for accurate transcription and speed when evaluating the skills of applicants. It's also important that you follow their instructions. Applicants with no special training and educational backgrounds can prove their qualifications by doing a test.
Typing and transcription skills can be enhanced through regular practice. You can use typing tutors that can teach you special techniques and methods to properly and effectively use the keyboard. Practice typing every day without looking at the keyboard. Keep doing it daily until you have a good typing speed. Applicants who can type fast can earn more money since they can finish more work in less time. You can improve your transcription skills by using practice files. Download podcasts and other audio from the internet and transcribe them.
Language and grammar skills are also important criteria used in evaluating applicants. When doing online transcription, the transcriptionist will encounter many new words. They will often get audio with foreign accents.
