How to Get Job Quickly

In the advent of technology, job hunting has become more efficient with the help of the internet. Companies can now reach out to thousands of job seekers and have their choice of the best. Job seekers can also look and choose for a career that they are interested in. Many websites have come out which are dedicated to job seekers and prospective employers. This trend made job hunting and hiring easier and more effective to both parties. So as a job seeker, various opportunities have been opened for you to take advantage of. If you're looking for a desired job position online, you should know where to look for it.

It's important to know where your field of interest is. Check your educational achievements, skills and experiences to know which field of career you should be. This is important to narrow down the job listings that you want to check out. There are so many websites dedicated to job listings and prospective employers. The secret is to know how to find these sites. You can search for the specific industry that you want to get into and then browse. Read whatever you can, especially at the sites forums and discussions. This is a sure way to find someone who knows a site or a person who's looking for a job seeker like you. In a tight job market, it's easy for job hunters to get discouraged. You get tired of hearing, "We'll call you if something opens up." Knowing that your application is just one more on the huge stack already on the employer's desk makes it seem futile to even fill it out.

Here are six social media platforms you can use to get your message out about your job skills.
1. LinkedIn
2. YouTube
3. Blogger
4. Twitter
5. Facebook
6. Google local

LinkedIn has been called Facebook for professionals. You can set up a profile with your skills, education and experience. You can connect with people you have worked with and for, publish recommendations, and look for jobs in your field. There are groups where you can get to know possible employers and people doing the same work you want to do. You can answer questions and get known as an expert at what you do. LinkedIn should be a first stop in your job search. YouTube is one of the top two or three websites worldwide. And it's not just funny animals and clips from old TV shows. You can post your own videos showing what you know how to do.

Blogging is a fast and easy way to add fresh content to a site. Once you have your platform in place, you can start reaching out to people in your field through Twitter. With Twitter, you connect with people in short bursts, called "tweets," of 140 characters. f Facebook were a country, it would be the second largest in the world. A lot of people use Facebook to keep up with family and friends, but you can also use it for business, too. Google is focusing more and more on local results. If someone is looking for services in your field, the search results will tend to bring up sites in the searcher's local area. The job market may be tight, but, sadly, a lot of people have given up looking. That is a problem for them, but it can be an opportunity for you. Use your smarts. Be creative. Be helpful. Look for ways to succeed. And you will definitely get success.

Personality Profiling

Personality

There are two main ways in which personality can be reported:

  • Observed behaviour, where a trained psychologist will interview and assess an individual and maybe even set group or individual tasks.
  • Self-reported behaviour, where the individual completes a questionnaire, which presents a series of questions about their preferred behaviour. This is the most frequent category of assessment used in the commercial world and may comprise a variety of techniques.

Whilst modern commercially available personality profiling generally has strong validity, it should be treated primarily as an indicator of behaviour. In our view it should not be used in isolation to decide a ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ for any given job. Rather, the results of the assessment should be used in conjunction with other data gathered from reference checks, CVs and behavioural interviewing to form a fuller picture of the individual before a valid decision can be made. In this context, the personality measure should give focus to the interview, generating areas to research where competency gaps may exist.
