Anyone have suggestions on preparing your own job evaluation?
My boss has asked me to complete my own job evaluation. I desperately need help on this--I know I am doing a good job and have taken on a lot of additional responsibilities, worked long hours, etc.; however, I know in my gut he does not feel the same way as he has been trying to get some of us who worked there long before he did to quit and/or urged us to take vacations so that he can replace the team with his own team from his previous job. It feels like a trap to me.
Write yourself the best evalutation that you can substantiate/document. I mean the best. If there is a trap, it's probably for anyone who does not rate themselves very highly. It's hard for someone to complain about being let go for low performance when s/he wrote the performance eval her/himself.
Btw, my bosses have had me write my own evaluations for years. Saves managers/execs more paperwork. This might just be the way your boss operates. Might be an interesting detail to find out, eh.

As work-from-home jobs go, opportunities for mystery shoppers are often among the most attractive ones. Just about every business has operations that undercover shoppers could find something objective and useful to say about. The opportunities, you'll find as a mystery shopper looking for work at shops and establishments, can be quite plentiful. You also need to know how to use a computer on your own. They'll send you out on assignments to doctors' clinic and you have to be able to ask probing questions of the doctor and report back on specific areas of your experience. Of course, you have to be a credible patient to walk into a doctor's office and hold the doctor's interest. You also need to have the patience to answer seemingly pointless questions about your doctor's visit once you get back. This isn't the only mystery healthcare shopper website either. MeasureCP.com has a great model, and so do mystery shopping networks like Shoppers Confidential and BestMark. As work from home jobs go, selling your opinion about a doctor's visit has rank right up there.
