Hospital Jobs
Hospital Jobs
From entry level position to jobs that require a high level of skill and training, hospital jobs are available in nearly every major city and local community hospitals. For those with a high school education and a certain level of people skills, positions as patient transporters, mail room support and food service aides are a popular choice. These positions are a great way for a person to get their foot in the medical field door so to speak or to earn an income while pursuing a higher education. Because hospitals are an "equal opportunity employer," may of these positions are opened to physically and mentally challenged individuals who might otherwise not be able to find suitable and sustainable employment. Most hospital jobs on all levels are offered as full-time or part-time positions. Depending on the position, candidates are expected to work 20 to 40 hour shifts, many including weekends, holidays and on call schedules. All nursing and internship and residency positions for physicians require hours generally in excess of 40, unless otherwise specified and rotating weekends, nights and on call schedules are mandatory. On the other hand, most hospital administration office positions run a regular, full time, 40 hour or part time, 20 hour work week. Most technicians and lab workers work shifts depending on when they are most needed. These positions usually run in shifts with early morning, late morning, afternoon and nighttime schedules. For those with higher levels of education in nursing, business, technologies and research, there are many positions that are available on an ongoing basis in most health care facilities like hospital. These hospital jobs also require a minimum to advanced level of skill depending on the position and can range from nursing assistant openings to advanced laboratory researchers. On the administrative level, there are also positions available from secretarial to accounting to management and higher level chief officer positions in financial, human resources, administration and public and marketing departments. Those with advanced degrees in medicine seek hospital jobs as physicians. These positions afford many opportunities to medical school graduates to train in all types of specialties including internal medicine, orthopedics, cardiology and surgery. Once a physician fulfills the requirements of an internship and residency program, a hospital job as a staff physician may be offered where training took place. Some physician hospital jobs are locum positions meaning a physician agrees to serve in the hospital performing a particular specialty for a contracted, agreed amount of time. Hospital jobs are always in demand and can be found by going to any employment office in a nearby hospital, checking classified hospital jobs in local newspapers or by going to the Internet and searching for 'hospital jobs'. Because people need medical care for themselves and their families, there are always an abundance of positions available in hospitals, outpatient care facilities and clinics everywhere. These jobs often pay above average salaries, which include great benefits including health, dental and life insurance as well as the promise of long term, full-time, part-time or lifetime employment.

How to apply for hospital jobs in Western Australia?
How does one go about applying for health jobs (hospitals) in Western Australia?
What is their health jobs / central recruitment website please? Thanks.
All public hospitals in WA are run by the Western Australian government. Go to:
http://www.health.wa.gov.au/home/
For the other states, search on 'state' health.
Private hospitals each do their own recruitment though there are a number of agencies where some hospital jobs can be found.
If you're overseas and don't already have a visa to work in Australia, you don't only want a job - you should be looking for sponsorship because without a visa, having a job won't do you any good at all.
