Customize Your Job Hunt to Suit Your Needs
New Professionals
As a professional looking for your first job, your search involves focusing on the smallest experiences you may have had. Because you don't have a lot of experience, you will probably be at a disadvantage. You will need to make the most of every bit of evidence you can come up with that you are able to take on the position you are applying for.
If you have worked as a volunteer, for example, present that as proof that you have certain skills. If you worked at small jobs while you were a student, include the responsibilities you had in those jobs.
Young Professionals
The first thing to do in customizing your job hunt is to choose a position that fits your background.
If you are a young any experiences you've had that will fit you for a certain position.
Recruiting Agencies
There are many agencies that can help you identify a job most suited to your background and experience. Even though many job seekers rely on the Internet to identify and locate jobs, this may not be the best way for you to go.
An agency can do this better than you, can because they will have contacts you don't have. An agency can tailor a job hunt to suit your specific requirements. Be careful, of course, to choose the right agency.
New Graduates
For a graduate fresh from college, finding the right job can be quite a struggle. You may have very little experience beyond a temporary or summer job. You are probably unsure about how to go about the job hunt. The first thing is to know the value of a good resume, which requires a certain amount of planning and foresight.
This requires experience and skill and it's a good idea to consult someone with experience. When your resume is specific, it will help you customize your job hunt to suit your needs. Your qualifications are general, but it is your experience and skills that make you and your resume stand out in response to the requirements of the job you seek.
Your resume will spell out your aptitudes and abilities and how you will be able to handle a particular job. This kind of a resume will help you to be short-listed for an interview call.
You should make sure that your resume is not more than two pages. It is essential to consider your educational qualifications and your ability to handle the job you are applying for.
You may be applying for a number of jobs, so keep track of your applications along with the ads you respond to.
You may be called for a number of interviews followed by group discussions to see how you relate. Be natural and genuine in your responses and do not overdo the interview. Your physical appearance is also very important when you appear before your interviewers. Be sure to dress appropriately.
By following the above tips, you can ensure that your job search is successful.

5 secrets to job hunt success
Job Hunting Tips, Tricks, And Help
Looking for a job can be a very difficult and time-consuming process. You can spend weeks even months before you even land an interview, and there is still a chance that you will not get that job. The best way to approach job hunting is to look outside the box. Whether you are currently employed, unemployed, or looking to get back into the workforce these techniques will work regardless.
First thing you want to do is to sit down and access your current career, past career, and what types of careers interest you. If you have any degrees or additional training include that as well. What you main goal should be is your overall happiness. It is very hard to get up everyday and go to work if you are completely miserable, so when you're accessing your career keep your happiness at number one. Next make a list of potential job types ranking from what you would want to what you would be ok with. Do not include anything on this list that will not keep your happiness up there. For example; Law Enforcement, Private Security, or Journalism, now break down each one and list anything that might be holding you back or reasons why this is a good or bad fit. Law Enforcement; degree needed in some states or cities, Private Security; no degree needed, plenty of experience, lower pay scale, Journalism; degree needed in most cases, competitive, difficult to get into, pay scale varies greatly. Now that you have done that you should have a good understanding of what you want and why or why not it could work out for you. If you find any that seem way to out of reach, then eliminate it, if there is one that seems to just fit perfectly then focus on that one. In the example above Journalism seems very out of reach and private security seems to fit well.
The next step is to get your self out there. Try and think of your self as a product and you need to market this product in order for it to sell. Use as many resume posting sites that you can find. Next thing that you want to do is to start applying to all the companies that are hiring or accepting applications that fit into the career categories you chose before. You also want to start thinking outside the box, if you are unemployed and receiving benefits, then you might want to look into volunteering for non-profit organizations. These may not pay you but you will start to meet new people and one of them might have a job opportunity waiting for you. Also, look into unpaid or even paid internships, these may be only temporary but if they really like you and you work hard you could be offered a full time position.
Remember to never give up and never sell yourself short. Also do your research about a company before you even apply, make sure you know what you are getting into before they offer you a position. Once you do land that interview ask as many questions as you can come up with, but make sure you know something about the company before hand. It is important that the company and position fits you just as you fit the company and position.
