Help Job Application
Filling a job application, it says: How are you acquainted and for how long?
The job application is for Old Navy. It asks me for personal/business references and the next question for that is: How are you acquainted and for how long?
What does this mean?
Help
Disregard Huey79, you can not put your relatives down as references on a job application. It clearly states it before they even ask for references. When they ask how acquainted they mean are they your old employer, academic advisor, neighbor, or team mate. When it says how long just put how long have you known the person. BTW in most cases you would have to have known them for 1 year+. I hope this helps you good luck!

How would you answer this question on job application?
On a job application I found the following question: How much do you want to know about your co-workers in order to work most effectively with them and what are your thoughts about an employee's behavior who has a poor relationship with other co-workers.
I really need help with this question as I have to apply for a really important job and they have a huge packet of questions they want answered and it is so hard to know what kind of answer they are looking for. Maybe this question isn't so complicated but I think I'm just drained and I can't think anymore ![]()
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!!!
Quick answer (I'm a bit drained too) is I'd want to know alot about my coworkers in terms of their technical abilities and such but don't think their personal lives should be my affair (yes their personal lives will affect how well they work in some ways, but its still none of my business).
Regarding people who work poorly with others, this is a major problem. They can cause all sorts of workplace problems and really bring down morale. I'd do everything I could to minimize or adjust this sort of behavior but if they were a really poisonous influence on the office and this could not be fixed I'd have to consider firing them (they are doing more harm that good).
Good luck with the job.
