Series of failed job apps and interviews?
I've just been rejected for a job position I am totally qualified for - again. It required high school diploma, I have a degree and the qualifications. Honestly, i'm beginning to wonder if they already have someone in mind and just sending postings. They always say that they found someone who's more fit, how can anyone not take it personally? Each failed job application or interview becomes more frustrating and depressing...I am truly feeling the pressure to get a job through this recession and it's definitely going to be a rough ride. How's others doing now?

sometimes they go thru the motion just to show it is "fair" process although they already have someone in mind
also, they may think that u overqualify and may leave soon if they pick u, and thus waste their time

I had a face to face interview at Tmobile, and after the interview I was told that it was now up to the recruiter whether I am offered a job or not. Were they just trying to be polite and get me out the door? Or would they tell me if I had no chance? Should I just forget about them and move on? Is there really a recruiter?
Usually you don't get hired at the interview. The pool of candidates takes their interviews and then the hiring manager decides which one(s) to pick. Sometimes there is a second interview with a smaller group of candidates.
So no, there is no evidence that you failed the interview. You have to wait a little while and see if they call you. Or you could call them and ask what the hiring procedure is and the timeframe (you should have asked that at the interview).
