To be effective, a job ad should attract right candidates and motivate them to apply. Consider job ads as marketing tools that can spark interest in the best candidates and ensure that they apply for the job.
The job title should be descriptive and exciting. Title, being the first thing that readers see, should be phrased to grab the job seeker’s attention. Include the benefits of working in your company. List requirements as bullet points rather than a block of text. Include only the “must have” skills as requirements.

CRM Data: Just Information or a Valuable Asset
Ever since the global economic downturn, companies have been striving to bring in new sources of revenue. One idea people are considering is the sale or leasing of CRM data. However, whether there is a market for this information is yet to be seen.
The widespread use of CRM software such as Tree.io and Salesforce etc means that companies can easily download their contact lists as a CSV file. These lists include names, addresses, telephone numbers, emails and even job titles. This information comes from places all over the internet. It stands to reason that this data would be useful for companies with similar target markets.
Some companies have this as their main focus, with most of their revenue coming from the sale of information to other companies. These "list vendors" get their info from all sorts of places. Some have a team of representatives that call companies and interview people to get the information. Others search the internet for places where the info is freely available, such as: articles, press releases, forum posts and more where people may have posted their contact details to the public domain.
However, lists alone are almost worthless. Email marketing is on its way out and if you cold mail a list of unknown leads you have bought or rented, your marketing message will just be seen as spam. This could have unfortunate consequences for your brand.
For CRM data to have any real resale value, it must be either defined very clearly, or be searchable by many different fields. A huge list of seemingly unrelated data is of no use to anyone. For the data to be useful it must be pared down to a high-ticket, valuable item. This is harder and takes more valuable time than you might think. As it turns out, the most valuable info is found in a companies own databases, rather than some third-party database.
The true value of organised and analysed data is only of service to the company which collected it in the first place. It is up to that company to decide how best to make it work.
