Gradually, the fervour started waning to an extent that there were huge deficiencies in the three sections of armed forces. People didn't like to take up jobs in Indian airforce or navy as they received better pay packages from the private companies, as well as could stay near their homes and dear ones.
The requirement of officers in Indian army was high and there was a huge difference among the interested candidates and the number of seats. In the present days, the shift has become a bit positive with increased salaries and perks like pensions. Also, the rules regarding the posting have also been altered a lot, enabling the inductees in jobs in navy, or army, to get good areas of posting. Sacrifice is a necessary virtue in these people. Inspite of this fact, the jobs in Indian army have been recently filled by regular recruitment. The officer posts are for students who enter into the Indian Military Academy or National Military Academy through the national tests, for which the students are eligible after their intermediate or +2 exams. After a few years of training and studies in these institutes, people can go forward to make their selections in the respective streams.
It requires mental toughness and physical strength with the ever necessary grit and determination, to pass through the training phases. The officers in the Indian army, navy and airforce are training in various subjects so that it enables them to give their very best in the planning, strategy and execution of different plans, when the test of time arrives.

DD 368 from Guard to Active Duty Army?
Last month I put in a DD 368 and a 4182, so I could transfer to the "Big Army." I want to be an 11b, Active Duty, instead of a 12W in the NV National Guard. The Army recruiters told me to just take in the 3 pieces of paper and have them signed. I guess my state has low numbers and my NCO's told me that it probably wont go through, and that I had about a 1 in a million shot of it getting approved.
Is there a way at all I can speed up the process, and ensure it goes through? I was born to be a soldier, I just can't afford these stupid civilian jobs. Is there anyway I can make this happen?
oih! ive been trying this too! yea every one says the guard is really assholes on letting guardsmen go. theres nothing you can really do besides keep asking about it and pushing (but not enough to piss anyone off). try to get in good graces with your COs too. good luck though.

Getting into army is one of the noble jobs as their responsibility is to serve and protect the country. The word army comes from the Latin word "arma" which means arms, weapons. The United States Army is foreseen to be one of the most powerful and well respected and elite army in the world. Thus, people want to be enlisted or want to have a job there. Army MOS, or the Military Occupational Specialty where it gives people the opportunity to work in the army grounds.
Aside from the combat positions or soldiers brought to the field in times of war, there are other opportunities that can be availed in the army MOS. there are different branches that men and women can apply for and get enlisted. The jobs available over Army MOS are designated with codes which consist of 2 numbers and a letter. These codes indicates job category and include the infantry and field artillery branch where men can serve as an infantryman, artillery surveyor, to senior sergeant and many others.
The aviation is another branch in the Army MOS where applicants gets a chance to become a crewmember, an aircraft repairer, an early warning system operator, avionics mechanic, aviation operations specialist or even an air traffic controller. The Special Forces branch which deals with highly delicate and special matters also enlists Special Forces operations sergeant, medical sergeant and even intelligence sergeant. The military intelligence branch is also one of the important jobs of the army because this is where intelligence reports would gathered; thus military occupational specialty requires translators, counterintelligence experts, analysts and many others.
Even civilians and people who do not acquire military training can be employed by the army. The Army MOS is in need of doctors, nurses, food specialists, paralegal councils, trumpet players, oboe players, cargo specialists and even human resource and accounting experts since there are also office jobs.
When applying for the Army MOS, you need to meet specified criteria like citizenship, getting a security clearance and passing the army physical training as well. Like any other job, you have to be fit to get considered into army special occupational security. They will screen applicants and choose the best among the rest.
There are some restrictions however in the Army MOS for women; they cannot go into combat mode. Also, a person with some physical and psychological disabilities can't possibly be included.
